East Oldham Methodist Church
We are a family-friendly, Bible based church of about 70 adults and children. East Oldham Methodist Church is committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with everyone in this community, because we believe the message of God’s unconditional love and the transformation he can bring to our lives needs to be offered to everyone.
We invite you to find a home in our church, a place of welcome, a place of support, and an opportunity to question and be challenged. But most especially we hope you find here the same Jesus we have found and come to know and to love.
What We Believe
We believe that men, women and children matter to God. Even if they don’t know it yet. So we’re here to meet them wherever they are at, with Biblical teaching and the good news that God cares about them and wants to be involved their everyday challenges, dreams and heartbreaks.
Core Convictions
- The Bible is God’s authoritative word to us, the maker’s instructions for humanity.
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God – the only Saviour for a lost and broken world.
- The local church is the hope of the world, God’s agent for redemptive change.
- Every Christian is called and gifted by God to serve and make a difference.
- The Church is called to evangelise the whole earth, by a Spirit-led uprising of radical Christ-following.
- Community is a gift of God - essential for your growth as an individual and our growth as a church.
